I have a 2005 SAAB 9-3 and lately the SID keeps saying that I have a BRAKE LIGHT FAILURE. All my brake lights are working fine. Has anyone encountered this problem? What can I do besides taking it to the shop and trying to get ripped off just b/c they see that I'm a female??

Generally its because there is alittle moisture in the circuit and its giving a higher reading of resistance, so the computer thinks that the bulb is burned out.
Someone could take apart and clean all the contacts between the computer and the bulb with De-oxit and then rub some vasolene on there and I am sure it would go away and keep it from happening again.
