A 1998 with 135,000 miles on it is about the average amount you'd expect on something that old. Most people average around 15,000 miles per year. It might be good for another 100K if the previous owner(s) took care of it.

It means its been around the block a few times. That's a nice old age for a Cavalier, 135,000 miles. Hope you get a good price.

....Miles on it (as in One Hundred Thirty Five Thousand miles, the "k" is short for, and means 'thousand' ) I had a 98 Cavalier, it was a great little car, good on gas, just make sure you CHANGE THE OIL....thats KEY to its continued use in the furture.

sounds like it rather is a impressive style of issues, yet there's a bolt that connects your grab to the transmission and if it comes loose it may do unusual issues. And in the adventure that your transmission is slipping and the gears are going this might additionally ensue. Or undesirable gas can do it or a grimy gas filter out.

dont buy it it has way too many miles on it it wont be reliable for very long till it starts falling apart save your money for a lower mileage vehicleas far as wear on motor probaly ready for timing belt seals ,bearings basicly an overhauland not to mention transmission failure ... i would avoid it like the plague...

It means that the previous owner put about 15,000 miles on it each year. The rest depends on how well cared-for it was.
