if i put the fuse in the lights stay on... indefinitely. and no matter where i put the switch or how hard (or soft) i shut the door i can't get them to go off, also i've tried looking for the usual button that sticks out when you close your door to trigger your lights to turn off and i can't find it. if you have any help let me know. thanks.

I had an oil change done about 1 week ago and my car has been smoking ever since from somewhere under the hood, I have been told by several people that it might be where they had spilled some oil on the engine or on the manafold, well its already been 1 week and its still doing it (this only happens when i get an oil change), what should i do

It didn't start this until my brother changed the oil in it, before this I wasn't smelling burning oil, what could be wrong. I also sometime notice a slight oil leak that's occuring.

If you buy a part that comes with a 1-year warranty, when you have to get a replacement for that part, does the replacement still have a 1-year warranty? Or is the warranty for the remainder of the first warranty? Please, list sources if at all possible. Thanx

I should be able to answer this question myself with the owners manual but since it got thrown out and I can't seem to find one online.

Anyways I have a 1998 Oldsmobile Cutlass, and there is warning light that is coming on, I think it looks sort of like a sparkplug but im not sure. Its not the low coolant light, brake, low oil, its not the check engine light, or that light that comes on if your car is over heating.

Im not sure what light it is, though it might be the check engine light, but I would assume that the check engine light would have check engine instead of some shape.

Any ideas on what light it might be ? I can't afford to take it to a shop to check, nor do I have the time.

For example, if I'm going 35 and want to accelerate slowly to 40, the rpms will just jump and the car will start to accelerate, but then immediately continue at the same speed. Car will not accelerate unless I press the gas pedal down further to cause the tans to drop gear or press gas just a little harder.

I believe this is a fuel problem such as a glogged fuel filter. But I have also heard it just might need a tune-up. It's about time for tune-up anyway. 110,000 miles and I've had it 2.5 years without changing fuel filter, spark plugs and all. It has a K&N air filter, so I know THAT isn't the problem.

Like I said, I suspect it's a clogged fuel filter. Please input affirmation or alternative suggestions please. Thanks in advance!

I was told when I got my car mainteneced I needed spark plug wires and I called other shops and they said my car does not have ignition wires. I have a 1999 Toyota Corolla is there an online directory to where I could find this info or can someone find out for me whether or not my car needs these?

I need to get some new brake pads on my car. I was planning on going tomorrow (my brakes started getting really bad about 3 days ago and I've had to travel across town alot...) to get them, but have to drive about 60 miles tonight. Last night on my way home when I would press the brakes (even gently) my whole car would rumble and shake and the wheels (not the tires but the actual wheels) would sound like they were about to fall off. When I would try to accelerate after stopping it would stall a little bit... Could my car break down from needing new brake pads?

Normally it only happened when the windscreen was relatively dry, but it even queaks in the rain and is getting worse!! - Its sooo annoying!

the people that owned the carwash has over 100 other washes. they wont pay so i contacted the bbb. my question is they are incoporaited. if i take them to small claims court. who do i make the paper work out to? what do i take to court. if they dont show how do i collect.

Y reg.Do appox 800miles per week. Full service every 10,000 miles
Serviced last week Cam belt did not need changing as it had done only 35,000 usually change it every 55,000 well below recommended by manufacturer. Yesterday big bang, cambelt shredded. Damage to several valves and their guides. Anyone know why as there does not appear to be anything that could have caused this to happen. Doing 50 miles per hour on a country road when this happpen.

This is a 93 Accord (Manual transmission) that I don't plan on keeping much longer, but I just want an idea of what might be wrong here. When I brake coming off the freeway, I have to do it very gradually or the brake and steering wheel seem to vibrate. I got a jeep cherokee to jump my car. I'm assuming that car's battery is big enough to start mine. The power came to my car, and the ignition clicks when I turn it but the car doesn't start. What could this be? Is it the car's computer system or something? What should I do? I have to move my car, there is street cleaning in an hour! Help please! Thanks.
