I had an oil change done about 1 week ago and my car has been smoking ever since from somewhere under the hood, I have been told by several people that it might be where they had spilled some oil on the engine or on the manafold, well its already been 1 week and its still doing it (this only happens when i get an oil change), what should i do

i would start with a visual inspection. like checking the oil to make sure its not over filled. then move to see if the oil cap has been put back on correctly, meaning that the seal is still on it. if all that is good check the pcv valve to make sure its working correctly. if that is ok start looking for leaking intake manifold, valve cover gasket (s) front seal or rear seal leaks and just for safty sakes the oil filter and drain plug just incase they are loose.

I would go back to the place where you had the oil changed immediately. You want to make sure that you don't have too much oil in the car because this can cause damage. If it is just a spill, they can clean it up with engine cleaner. They should be able to perform an inspection for you at no cost since you have just been serviced. Please get this checked out right away.

Open the hood, make sure the oil fill cap is on, then go back to the oil change place just for a quick inspection.

usually there is a valve cover that has the bigtube with an oil cap. I would check the tightness of the bolts that hold that cover on.
