my impala is a 4 dr and it has a 2 piece driveshaft but there's no way i can get to the bearing because where the driveshaft is at is all sealed up. i dont know if the manufactorer made like it or if the owner did it. it's a solid plate that's welded on the bottom. should i cut around it or what. i can get to the bolts to loosen the bearing, but not the bearing itself. thank you. eric 626-890-9412 cellphone.

i recently got into a car eccident with someone as i acknowledged totally eccident was my fault 100% i agreed to pay all damages, this person got two estimates one was slighty lower than the first esitmate, so we both agreed, on lower one, i payed her the full amount of lower esitmate, plus had her sign agreement stating she was fully satisfied, and that she was payed in full, also i wrote on the check final payment payed in full got that idea from watching court tv.. so after 3 weeks she calls me sayin that after she got the work done the job turned out to be about 300.00 dollars more, so i need to know after paying her off the estimate in full and she signing a contract sayin i had payed her, she cashed my check, now seems she wants 300.00 more am i liable? are can i just hang my phone up on her? whats ur opinion...? ( i also had my contract with her notarized, wit two witnesses present as they signed..

Here's the story. In January, my car (1999 Cavalier) started smoking when I drove it. Took it to the dealership and they said the oil filter was bad. Changed the oil, cleaned the engine for $150, which was fine by me. 1 month later, same problem. Took it to the shop, they said the oil filter they put on the month before was defective. Changed it and cleaned the engine for free since I paid the last time. This was 3 weeks ago. 2 days ago...SAME PROBLEM! I'm going to bring it in again, but I highly doubt that 2 oil filters they put on my car are both defective. I felt around under the hood and it looks like the oil leak is again coming from the filter. What could be causing this to happen every few weeks? Why weren't the mechanics able to find it the last 2 times? Since this is the 3rd time I've had to bring it in after they assured me they fixed it, do I have any right to demand a discount beyond the original $150 I paid?

I have an 88 Mazda 323 that I just bought. It ran fine for the past few weeks since I bought it. Then, this morning, I changed the oil. The old oil wasn't in bad shape, just average used oil. No grit and no grime. Just dark colored like normal wear. I used Valvoline 10W-40 for my oil change.

After the oil change, the car ran normally for about a mile or so, then the oil light came on. I got out and checked the oil level, and it was fine. I added a little more oil (about 1/4 of a quart) just in case that was the issue, but the oil light still stayed on.

I drove it slowly back home, and about a mile before I got back, the engine started making a weird noise. Kind of a ticking, or a clicking sound. Rhythmic, almost like it was skipping....only not skipping-- CLICKING! I made it to the driveway and shut it off quickly.

Have I ruined my engine by changing my oil??

Well one day I was driving along in my town and it happened to be
Be thankful for your mothers day and I was cruising through this parade and to make a long story short , This old lady in a
wheelchair skerted out into the middle of the road and i was going about 25 and she was like 20 feet away. all of a sudden I slamed
on my brakes and they dident stop rite away they just made a
bunch of metal clanking noise and i barged into this old lady sending her sailing into the crowd of ppl with her wheel chair bouncing rite behind her. I figured this all happened because i pumped my brakes to hard with such an old car and the mechanisms just failed. What do you think would be the cause of somthing like this?
