i have a 1958 ford straight 6 cylinder, 223, but i really want it to have that raw power sound, i want it to be loud and have a low rumble. i already have a glasspack exhaust and it sounds pretty nice but i want that v8 sound, or something close to it without me getting a v8.

so does anyone know a company that sells headers that make your v6 sound more like a v8??

Right now, when I start it up, it runs fine. As long as I don't drive it, it stays fine. It idles so nicely!

Once I take it out on the road and the car warms up though, my oil light comes on and I hear a ticking sound from the top end.

I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty...so let the healing begin!!

I bought a used car with 2,000 miles from the dealer (same dealer where the car was sold new). They told me it had never been repainted and now I am finding out that they repainted a large portion of the front end. Now the paint is chipping off and I only have 12,000 miles on the car. What can I do, beyond ask them to cover under warranty?

of the interior dimension of the top of the driver's side windshield? I'm trying to figure out if a tube light would fit up there, and what length would be best? It doesn't matter much what make or model, I just need to have an idea.

Thank you!

Hi,
Just after i picked-up my VW-Golf MK-III from the service (timing belt kit, spark plugs and cabling changed),
the engine started clattering especially when trying to accel suddenly. After a little search, i began suspecting poor timing belt installation. Then i visited many repair shops, including the first one; all the technicians came up with no timing belt shift mistakes after examining O-T markers,TDZ on first cylinder and marker on fourth cylinder, i even had a complete re-install of the belt. By the way, the engine was performing badly and was getting worse everyday. Anyway, just while i was to give-up, i went to another technician by recommendation, he was about to give me that same answer when he disovered, there was that problem with spark plugs ending in wrong order on distributor, and distributor installed poorly (shifted as they said). Clattering signif. gone, but still loss of power on upper shifts, can't hardly go beyond 120Km/h and increased howling.
Help,pls

The AC is working, compressor turns and receiver gets cold but no matter what the temp setting hot air comes out of the vents. I replaced the vacuum hoses but no relief. I just want an idea of what I'm getting into before taking apart the dash.

It's a toyota tercel (95). I've had this car for 7 years and the breaks have always squeaked, the mechanics have told me it's break dust. New brakes, old breaks... they all squeak. It's so obnoxius - is there anything I can do? (not a mechanic, I'm sick of them "fixing" the noise... I've been to too many and nothing ever gets fixed.) BTW, I just got new pads and rotors about 5 months ago and it's still louder than ever!

I just purchased a new car. My husband says we have to put premium gas in it. How important is the grade of gas to a new car? Is there a time when you can then put a lower grade of gas in the car?
