Right now, when I start it up, it runs fine. As long as I don't drive it, it stays fine. It idles so nicely!

Once I take it out on the road and the car warms up though, my oil light comes on and I hear a ticking sound from the top end.

I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty...so let the healing begin!!

Note: I have checked the oil, and it's right where it should be level-wise.. The oil is good too, not overly dirty. I changed it about 750 miles ago.

Yes, it sounds like the oil pump isn't putting out enough pressure, it happens...new oil, or you know it is fine? New oil filter too?

Get a gage and test the output pressure, by removing the oil pressure sending switch. Auto parts stores sell kits just for pressure testing. Then you'll know...changing an oil pump is involved, and requires removing the pan.
