I do all my own oil changes at work and I get parts at cost and don't pay labour. Working in a garage has it purks. As important as oil is, I don't trust it. Sometime you may get a batch that doesn't have good lubrication properties but the chemicals give it a longer time frame before breaking down the chemical composition of the oil. Other batches may have good lubrication properties but the chemicals composition may make the oil not last as long. For as long as i can drive, my oil changes will be done every 4000km regardless of the oil type, either synthetic, semi synthetic, or non synthetic. Oil is important, and PROPER maintance scheduals are important too. Preventative maintance is the msot important thing however.

Alright so the shop i work in just became a certified Amsoil dealer today. I put it in my 2002 dodge durango definately noticed the low engine temp on the drive home. The only catch to the 25,000 mile oil is at 12,500 miles you should replace the filter and add a quart to replace the lost oil durinf the filter change. This is because the oil usedwill last 25,000 miles but the filter will only last 12,500 but in comparison to the 29.95 oil change or even the 17.75 the shop I work at offers over the course of 25,000 miles at 7.35 a quart and 15.00 a filter you will save lost of money. and athe 25,000 mile Amsoil will not void your warranty on a ew car its guarenteed

No, i wouldn't. Because a lot of people will be skeptical on such a good deal. Unless you are a Big company offers a waranty with it that states "if you engine died in this range, we will pay for the repairment." Because the luxury dealer offers 13k miles oil change along with waranty. Do you?

i change my oil and filter when needed and only costs $40AUD not $70US so no i dont want to spend an extra $60AUD. Even an idiot can perform an oil change themselves for the cost of a filter and a bottle of oil.
