I've head of many ways to start a car but this slidehammer one seems the easiest.

Slidehammer to yank out the tumbler
Flat head screw driver to turn the ignition switch when it's exposed.
Unless you are trying to snatch a pretty old car, this ain't gonna work. Car computers have a security feature that you have to take apart the whole column and find the wires to splice so the car will start.
Best way to start a car...Get a real job and go buy one of your own.

if you use a slide hammer you can damage your steering column making it hard to keep another switch in place, you need to get a manual for your car and read how to remove the switch, it's easier than you think. my dad used a slide hammer on my switch, everytime I tried to take my key out, the switch came out with it, that's shadetree for ya!

I suppose you could drill a hole in the cylinder, tap it, and screw in the slide hammer. Hammer away!
