If it is behind the tire, and if you've been running the A/C, it could be condensation coming off your coolant lines. Just water.

First, Dot 3 brake fluid does have color. So does power steering fluid.

First thing you have to look at is where is the leak when you look under the car. What is it under? Is it near any exhaust pipes or hoses? Could be the battery is leaking also. If you do see this leak under the battery dont touch it. It is acid. Go to a place that can check your battery for you.

Second, if it is clear that does limit the choices. Like previously said it might be condensation coming off of something. Your exhaust system whether it be at the tail pipe or manifold. A/C system also has condensation.

The next time you do see this liquid, touch it. Is it oily? Gritty and does it have a smell. You will know anti-freeze right away it smells sweet but it does have a color yellow or can be green or red. Hope this helps! Also, if it is clear dont panic.

sounds like you are leaking power steering fluid. that is the only clear fluid on that side of the engine. you can test this by having someone start the engine and turn the wheel back and forth as you look under the car and see if you see the drips come faster or not. but im almost positive thats what it is

Brake fluid should be clear or slightly yellow.
Windshield wiper fluid is not clear unless you are using just water.
It's your brake fluid.

id say if you just put water not coolant (green or red) in your radiator then thats it, brake fluid is almost never completely clear in normal cars (dot 3/ dot4) is slightly coloured.

also could be your windscreen washer bottle if its just water.
