Maintenance & Repairs - February 2007

I posted about a month ago stating that my blazer was making a clunking noise every 50ft or so only in 4x4. I recently tried the 4x4 again and all the display lights come on (floor mount) and i can hear the transfer case click in and hear the front axle turn however there is no power to the front tires? What could this be? If anyone knows about or has experienced this problem please help.

i know you know what i am talking about but for the life of me i can not remember what they are called the insides of mine dropped and it all broke is there some where i can go and get another one i see that there is a code on the back of the one that is broken thank you it is a chevy if that matters

My o/d light has been flashing for a while and after researching on kia-forums I found that a common reason this happens is because the speed sensor goes bad. I am going to order mine tomorrow, but I was wondering where on the tranny is it located so I know when I go to install it.

or that is already too late? is it squealing because it is damaging something?

Also, are there squealers for drum brakes or it is only for disc brakes? If no squealer for drums, how do you tell when to replace those?

and allraedy tryed the extracter but it dont work.too of them broke .Now i am at the tip if my threads and dont now what to do do i need neww heads or can i tap and die my heads .and how do i do it .

The front blowers are not working, I assume the motor needs to be replaced. I checked the fuses and all looks good.

After I've been driving the car for about 20 minutes it will die and not start for 4-5 hours. I have eliminated bad gas. Also, I have replaced fuel filter, plugs, wires, rotor, and distributor cap. Oh, and I checked to see if my catalytic converter was clogged, but it's fine. Any suggestions???

i used to work for a guy who is now dead so his buisness closed he used to rebuild what he called (page packs) for printing presses all over the country there getting harder to find but what it is its got 5 pumps on it and each pump pumps a color the problem is i cant find a god da m thing on the internet about them so if thats not what there called (page packs) then what are they called and where can i find info on them if thats what there called where can i go to find info on them these packs or what ever there really called im looking for info on the older style cause most newer press less than 15 years old dont use them any more help please

My 2005 mustang had a dead battery so I jumped it and had it charged at a local shop. It ran fine all night and then spent the night in a city parking garage. This morning I come in and they tell me it wont start? The car cranks and just wont fire. I smell gas, but it wont turn over. Also thick white smoke from tailpipes. Is my timing belt broken? Can this happen like this ? What could be wrong? Fuel pump maybe?

when in the off position they stop straight up.
when in the delay position they stop down.

The left front brakes make a loud grinding sound only when the brakes are pressed. Its so loud sometimes it causes people to look. I know its coming from the left front brakes because that’s where the majority of brake dust is accumulated. Whatever the problem is it has caused me to replace the following items.

1.The rack and pinion was done under warranty.
2.Pair of brake rotors three times.
3.Pair of calipers and two times.
4.I have also replaced the two brake hoses.
5.The left caliper bracket.
6.Left spindle
7.Left hub.
8.Rotated tires.
9.Both tie rod ends and bushings.
10.Complete four wheel alignments.
11.Balanced the four tires.
12.Bleed system several times.
13.Proportioning valve.

Despite all these changes the problem is still occurring. The back brakes have also been inspected but no problems where found. Your help in my unfortunate conquest of this issue is highly appreciated. The car does not pull to the right or the left. Pleas help me.

I just noticed a nail in the tire of my Ford Explorer. I didn't remove it in case the tire would go flat. Is it OK to leave it there or should I take the truck to the puncture people?

Eg8 fuel injected 1.5 Single Cam Automatic Civic .....the car doesn't wanna start .....it's just tumbling....i realise the Distributor not working ...this is NOT the first time i'm changing a Distributor ...but i need to buy one & i need to know if there is a way i can REPAIR the Distributor if i can to save on cost ...can anyone tell me how to do this...?

How do you get a battery cable off that has the wrong nut holding it on & it's stripped? We've tried pliers & no one's strong enough to get it off so how do u unhook it from the other end of the cable & will anything else b screwed up if we do it that way?
