Eg8 fuel injected 1.5 Single Cam Automatic Civic .....the car doesn't wanna start .....it's just tumbling....i realise the Distributor not working ...this is NOT the first time i'm changing a Distributor ...but i need to buy one & i need to know if there is a way i can REPAIR the Distributor if i can to save on cost ...can anyone tell me how to do this...?

it is probably not the distributor that is bad. check your timing belt it is probably broken.

why do you believe the distributor is the problem? Just because it's not rotating?

If this is the case, it's not the distributor, it's the timing belt. The distributor turns off a gear on the end of the camshaft. The cam is turned by the timing belt which is likely broken.

Take the valve cover off and see if the cams are turning as the engine is cranked. This will tell you a lot.

They can be repaired but you are better off to replace the whole distributor.

it probably would be cheaper just to go to the junk yard and pick up another 1.
