My o/d light has been flashing for a while and after researching on kia-forums I found that a common reason this happens is because the speed sensor goes bad. I am going to order mine tomorrow, but I was wondering where on the tranny is it located so I know when I go to install it.

Also, I know Kia's aren't the greatest. I am holding onto this for a while until everything is fixed then I am selling it off for something better. Please someone find for me where the speed sensor is located.

I love my little Kia and will be shoving a 250hp V6 under the hood of my Rio when the warranty runs out.

Still waiting, but it is late, so it might have to wait until tomorrow when more of the guys are awake.

oh god...Kia...I'm so sorry for you. I used to work in a telephonic survey call center...we ran (are running) a survey about Kia...mostly dealing with dealerships, but there were open ended questions where the owner had an opportunity to discuss thier vehicle...get rid of it. the survey itself is a nation wide survey, and the negative greatly outweighed the positive.
