I have a Ford Fiesta (04) 1.4 Petrol car, and twice (different days) when I was drving it cut out and said EAC Fail, and I restarted the car no problem. What is the problem? Would the warrentiy still be covered if the warranty ends on April 30th 2007?

EAC stands for electronic accelerator control. The problem isrelated to the accelerator pedal and fly-by-wire system.

Cures varied from a simple ECU update to a ECU replacement, depending what combination of fault codes you have stored.

I would take it back to the dealer and ask them to download the codes your car will have stored; if your warranty doesn't expire until April, yes, it's valid - it's February now . . .

The warranty will cover this.
