It didn't start this until my brother changed the oil in it, before this I wasn't smelling burning oil, what could be wrong. I also sometime notice a slight oil leak that's occuring.

Well if it is leaking after he did an oil change the plug or the oil filter is not tight enough. Also if there was spilled oil it my cause the burning smell. Nothing to worry about. but check the plug and filter
