Where could this slight rattling come from, the engine light doesnt come on, or it doesnt seem to be hurting the car, but its very irritating and what could be the cause of this???? Please Help, Mechanics

you need to put higher octane fuel in your car. You aren't getting the firing power your car requires. Old gas will cause this, too. Instead of the cheaper gas (regular) try supreme and see if that helps, but do it when you get down to a 1/4 tank of gas to dilute the regular. Hope that helps.

There are several heat shields on the exhaust system. More than likely a weld broke causing it to rattle.It did the same thing on my sidekick it was irritating as 7734. all it took was a friend with a welder and 15 mins. to fix it all for a 12 pack

sounds could be whats called spark knock. usually occurs in one or two types of situations. 1 too low of an octane rated fuel. solution try premium fuel to see if it stops. 2 time for a tune up. plugs, wires and such. i would start with a high grade fuel first.

Sounds line engine ping from low octane gasoline. You can change brands of gas, run a tank of premium or a bottle of octane booster.
