When you insert the key in the ignition,it won't turn and the steering wheel is locked also. This is happening every time we try to go somewhere for the past 4 days. We have to change the position of the steering wheel 5-6 times up&down and up&down before the key will turn and the wheel will unlock. WHAT is wrong? Can it be fixed INexpensively? Is it my steering column or a switch, fuse, locking mechanism??? Could my old man fix it? Please, please, please someone help. I have 4 kids and it is not good if we get stranded somewhere...

The temperture got down to like -2 degrees and my batter voltage went down to basicly 2. But what I'm not sure of is I took the battery off and hooked up a resistance meter to the + and - terminals and I am showing 1.0 of resistance is this normal? I don't know much about car electrical systems but seems strange or is this normal for a jeep? What could have caused the battery to die, cold or bad alternator? I took the battery out and put it inside and it's gone up from 2.0 to 8.0, did the fluid inside freeze?

I have a 93 Cherokee Sport, 6cyl. with 190,000 miles on it. The other day was really cold and I was driving the Jeep on and off all day. It was working fine until the nighttime when all of a sudden it just died completely. When I turned the key right after it died, it just clicked a few times. The next day it started up fine and I drove it for a few minutes and everything was okay (it was warmer that day, too, if that matters). Today (very cold again) it started up fine, and after it was warmed up, I started to drive - I made it, like, three blocks before it totally died again. Is it the alternator?

Also, I have no idea if this has anything to do with it, but the lock/latch on my glove compartment was very stuck for a while and my boyfriend got it open by prying the off the whole latch mechanism. (this is recently) Do you think, consequently, that the glove compartment light is on all the time? (Just thought I'd throw that out there)

I have a 1988 Chevrolet S-10 4WD Blazer with a 4.3 liter with a Throttle Body Fuel Injection system and automatic transmission. My PCV valve comes out of the grommet and fumes come into the cockpit, not to mention the loss of oil. Is this a top cylinder problem or is something plugging the lines up? Do I need to clean something. Also causes a drop in oil pressure.

I have a slightly bent rim on my truck and am delaying replacement as long as possible. The bent rim is so minor that they were able to balance it well enough to where I almost can't tell. Right now I have the rim on the front and when I brake, the truck shakes a little bit. Can this damage my front brake rotors if I keep driving on it?

There is a huge, what one might call, speed bump in the acceleration lane getting on Westbound Interstate 30 at Eastchase Parkway in Fort Worth Texas. I realize that my car (MiniCooper) is tiny but this could do some damage to any car, I'm sure. Anyway the rim was shattered, the tire was ripped. A new rim for Coops was $750, new tire $300. I opted out of replacing the factory rim, instead going with a full set of after market rims for close to $600. Vincent up at Discount Tire hooked me up with $50 off of the tire, also. Question is...Should the city reimburse me for the damages done to Coops?

I was getting around 280 miles per tank 6 months ago. I bought new tires (same size i had), and had our alignment adjustment, new battery and air filter all within a couple of weeks and now my car only gets about 240 miles per tank. I took it in to the dealership to have a check done on the car, feul injector.... sensors all that and they found nothing wrong. Does anyone have an idea what is wrong?

I am restoring my great grand-fathers, (now mine), 1963 Bel Air.
I am worried that if I try to pry the trim from the clips, that it may damage the trim.
Is there a way to remove it without causing it to be damaged?
