I have a eletrical outlets that look like cigrete lighter, and there always "hot" , or always giving power to, how do i rewire that to where it is just ignition powered, when key turned or truck on they turn on, Is it difficult, What do i need to do?

Please go step by step, I'm not to good at this kind of stuff. If You dont recomend i do it, then tell me about how much it will cost.

yes. it is time consuming, but if you find the main power wire (a car repair manual will tell you), you can move if from a circuit that is always powered and wire it to one that is on with the ignition. but ill tell you an easier solution, if you dont use those that often. go to Radio Shack, but a little bit of power wire and a switch. you can wire it the switch right in between the power wire that exists and run it up to the dash somewhere. then when you need the sockets, just flip the switch. ive done this before and it is a little easier than changing circuits over. just an alternative for ya

Yes, it is possible. You need to tap into a main wire that is hot only when the ignition is on. You can use a wiring diagram in a shop manual to find such a wire schematically, and/or use a power probe to find the wire physically. Usually, you need to tap into the wiring harness near the fuse box, or into the fuse box itself. It is not difficult, but it may be time consuming. A stereo shop should be able to do it for less than $100 US.

its easy well when u no how take the panel from under your steering whell there a some wires
