the oil is leaking from the back side of the engine, it's below the valve, and above the oil pan,,everybody is telling me it's the head gasket, but there's no water in the oil and the engine runs perfect. i don't have any loss in horsepower everything seems find just the oil leak..any idea's what the problme is? thanks

From what you've described it sounds like you main bearing seal has worn out

Head gaskets can blow in a lot of different places. They don't always cause fluids to mix. It could be that or the crank seal. That's a pretty old car to start pouring money into. You could spend $1500 fixing that leak and still have an old worn out car and engine.

i dont know what the problem is unless you keep spilling oil everytime you put some in. however not to wory too much. i knew a guy who had to add a quart of oil every day in his old truck and he kept that thing going for YEARS
