it was working perfectly fine until a few minutes ago.It will start up but wont go into gear. Could it be the security system?

I recently put new brake pads on my crysler sebring and had the rotors turned also and now they are squealing.How do i stop them?I've tried everything at autozone and advanced nothing they have will stop them.(WHY)

I'm looking to buy a cheap car on craigslist right now and the one I'm looking at says it needs the muffler replaced. They say the car runs and all but would be quieter with a muffler.

How much would a muffler go for would you figure? Could someone not car-mechanically-bright put it together in a few hours?

Or how much do you think I'd end up paying if I brought it in? Someone said it would be like $40?

It's a ford 98 150, the brakes mechanically are in good standing, the line in question had split and fallen off some time ago. Will a thorough cleaning of the nipple on the brake line and replacement of vac line suffice, or will I need to replace the manifold? in the brake line because of its exposure to the elements? As I've never seen this system before any help would greatly appreciated.

This only happens when I fuel up. The car is not running when i fuel up. I start the car and it seems like the RPM's go up then die down. If i hold my foot on the gas it will stable long enough for me to put it in drive. Then i go a few minutes and the car is fine. I have already replaced the fuel pump and fuel filter. I won a 99 oldsmobile cutlass gls. it uses more gas then normal also. I have had a fuel system cleaning on the car also ( i work at jiffy lube) what else could the problem be?

Have some very odd symptoms.
I have a 1995 Honda accord EX with 130k miles.
AutomaticTransmission.
I was driving along and all of a sudden all vitals went to "0" meaning the spedometer, RPM, it was almost like the battery was dying and finally stalled out.

The Drive4 green indicator light started to blink on and off while I was in park.

Then I started the car up again and it wouldn't start. Tried a few more times finally started but barely.. but had absolutely no power.. like something was stuck in the fuel lines.. just no power at all and barely made it into my driveway. Now the car is in my driveway and won't start again.

I'm thinking it is the distributor so I've ordered one to try to see if that is the issue.


Can the distributor be the issue? Can a distributor all of a sudden crap out like that? It has been raining quite a bit lately and maybe some condensation could be the culprit? Any help would be appreciated.

NOTE: One thing I forgot to add.. for some reason the cars door locks were going haywire like up and down up and down as well as the gauge cluster in terms of the drive gear indicator. Not sure how that is related but maybe that would shed some light.

ALSO: The car does turnover.

I currently have a 2002 4.0l vtec Acura Rsx. I plan to do alot of bodywork and engive work on it. I was thinking of maybe getting a NOS SYSTEM form holleys for it . I was wodering if a universal nos system would work for it.

Connecticut now reads the on board OBD II computer (1996 and later) for emissions failures.
My question is...If I clear all the trouble codes just before the test, will they see that the codes have been cleared and still fail me?
Any suggestions.......

We save a lot of money by driving older cars well over 200K. We recently left our trusty mechanic in Atlanta and have moved to Utah, where we don't know anybody with older cars who can recommend a good wrench in town. I have a Jeep Liberty 2002 automatic. All of a sudden (one stop light to the next) the engine doesn't catch around 20-25 mph. When I put it in park and then back in drive the car kind of thumps into first gear. Once I get to 20-25 mph it just revs and never catches. Any ideas? Let's say I'm a car moron so be gentle.

My parents cars were shot with what i guess are oil based paintballs and they have gummed up and left the cars ugly. We tried soap, tar and bug remover, but nothing seems to work fine. windex sorta for the windows, but it takes a ton of it and a ton of effort also. The cars are a honda accord and a toyota rav4 if it matters.
