This is the circuit from your ignition switch to your starter. With the stalling condition, though, it leans more toward an ignition switch. I would go right to the starter enable relay.

Check for power on C1 and C2 with the key in the "start" position. Jumper power to A2. Does starter engage? Notice this relay is grounded thru the neutral safety switch and then the PassLock system. That start and die symptom does sound like a security fuel cutoff. Are you using a key with a security pellet in it? Is your security light flashing?

starters good check the neutral switch to see if voltage is passing through it to the solenoid on the starter, if not check for [continuity] from the switch to the solenoid end with the key off, next if the circuit is good you can now check the switch if that is good, then it is between the neutral switch and the ignition switch (after the keyed lock cylinder) this should be on the top side of the column above the foot pedals but below the dash in your bonneville(usualy a metal box with a plug in on the right side and a rod going under it on top of the column to actuate the switch) THEY DON'T GO BAD OFTEN AND ARE CHEAP AT THE JUNK YARD[suggestion] since some are a bit pricey new.
You might have a bad ignition relay (some had several relays in the engine fuse boxes and some a few ) THESE ALSO DO NOT GO BAD OFTEN BUT RARELY DO.
tHAT SHOULD BE A BIT HELPFUL TO YOU I THINK " GOOD LUCK."

Change the solenoid and if that doesn't work have a diagnostic run on the OBC. It could be a number of thngs causing this problem.
