I had an accident with my Honda accord. The damage is limited to the front bumper, tip of the hood and right fender. The repair shop will replace the bumper. but said they will repair the hood and right fender. I am asking them to replace all parts but their argument is it better to leave the parts since they have matching VINs with the car and the damage is not extensive. does it really make sense? since the body parts are relatively cheap for the fender at least.

I got my break pads replaced not to long ago, but now i'm hearing a squeaking noise from the rear left side and just recently i smell a burning smell.. someone told me it's my rotors, if this is the case does anyone have a ball park estimate of how much this type of work would go for?

it started about a week ago. i was checking the oil and i noticed that a brown colored fluid seemed to be coming from the top of coolant storage holder. i wiped it up and was on my way. then i found out coolant should be green. it wasn't over heating so i left it off to be looked at by my mechanic. i called them yesterday to look at it today. should have knocked on wood because not even 10 mins after calling it over heats. so i made it to a gas station and put some coolant in it but the weird thing is that it didn't even take a litre and it was full but it still over heats and leaks to what it seems from the top.. would anyone know the problem?? just would like a opinion before i bring it to the machanic..

Ok... I admit I know very little about cars. I need to know what the possible causes of what appears to be an anti-freeze puddle under my car could be. And how do I know for sure what the liquid is if I'm not sure?
I park under a carport and it hasn't rained so I know it isn't water.
Thank you in advance for any help you can offer.
Peace

Last year I had the heater core replaced. For about 3 months now, I have steam/smoke coming out of the front of my car and once the car is running all I smell is antifreeze. I took it back to the mechanic and they did a quick look and stated nothing seems to be leaking. Any suggestions??

I know my way around an engine slightly ( well I can find things!!) and have a Daewoo Lanos S Reg which I think needs a service - I can't afford to pay to have it done and am having problems at the moment getting it to start when its wet - always have to bump start it.
Could someone give me an idea on what the problem could be and also some instructions on how to service it
I have plenty of time to do this on the weekends and the car isnt needed desperatly but would really enjoy having a go at it.
Thank you very much

Hello all.
I have a Ford Escort 1996 1.3, With a brand new battery. However every
morning my battery is completely flat. We've jumped started it,and left it on
idle for 20 mins but the power still goes as soon as you switch
something electrical on.
We've charged the battery and it would only last a day - next morning
it would be completely flat again.
Also when you turn the ignition on you usually get 3 warning lights
light up - handbrake , oil and battery, which normally go off as soon
as you start the car - however the battery warning light does not light
up anymore- was working fine before but even with a fully charged
battery it still doesn't light up.
I guess something may be draining the battery??? any idea's ???
Thanks in advance

I notice my mpg has been horrible on my honda prelude. maybe the way I drive. After following the stuff from Cargens.com, I noticed a 12 mpg improvement, but now i'm trying to peak my preludes mpg ratings over 30, which is higher than the posted rating. is this even possible? any additional info beyond cargens?

Thx

I have a 2000 grand prix gtp with 95k I just had my dealer fix my alignment after that my abs and my tcs lights come on for no reason. My abs are activating when I hit my brakes for what seems like no reason do I need to replace my brakes or bleed them or should I have my dealer look at it again because it's going to be expensive what could the issue be?
