A spool valve is a cylindrical shaped valve that controls the flow of hydualic oil. It is operated either manually or by mechanical means. You need to contact John Deere to get the correct one for your application.

a Hydraulic spool valve is a spool with so many o rings on the spool what direct the oil to different ports in the valve body ,the spool is worked with a small gear stick or automatically ,it might be that the o rings need changing on the spool

A John Deere dealer will supply what you are after, but the valves are very expensive ie-£300 +. It might be the O rings inside the valve that have worn, I would check first.

a spool valve is a valve that you can move with a solenoid or by cable or by a handle that when moved one way (up) itll let fluid out of the hydraulic manifold on one hose (move hydraulic cylinder up) when you move it the other way (down) itll send fluid out to move the cylinder down. thats a loose example but thats how it works. follow your hydralic lines from your hydraulic tank to your pump then to your hydraulic manifold. have fun.
