I have a 2000 grand prix gtp with 95k I just had my dealer fix my alignment after that my abs and my tcs lights come on for no reason. My abs are activating when I hit my brakes for what seems like no reason do I need to replace my brakes or bleed them or should I have my dealer look at it again because it's going to be expensive what could the issue be?

ABS is a finicky thing, but I can tell you that the abs system has zero to do with brake pads and fluid. All they are is a sensor on each wheel that tells the computer that the brakes are at a point where they will lock then the abs computer tells the brakes to pulse instead of locking. If they are engaging on dry pavement and you actually feel the pedal pulsing then you need to get to a shop. Its possible they were damaged during the alignment IF they modified the alignment...if they didn't then the sensors are faulty. I would say on this you need to at least have them check the light(it will give a code as to what is exactly wrong) if its something to do with the alignment then I would make the dealer fix it.

Just so you know the even if the abs system fails the brakes will still work. But with it engaging it really sounds like a bad sensor, either by wearing out or damaged.

first off make sure all the tires are properly inflated or the tires will spin at different speeds and give the computer different readings. second take a look at the sensors if you can see them, because if they had it on an alignment rack you never know. third take it to auto zone and get the codes read if they do that for abs. find out which sensor is crapping a code and trace the wiring. if wiring is fine its probably sensor going bad. hope it helps.

Everything the other guy said it true , if it was a ford then i would say it is the ECU which gives trouble just as you describe.(the computor for ABS.)
It is situated under the dashboard , but if you want to know for sure take it to a reputable dealer workshop and ask for it to be checked on their engine analyzer they should be able to tell what it is straight away, they would have to be pretty rough to have damaged the sencors, but then some are. if it is then change garages.
