Thank you so much for answering my question , but here is my problem. I basically had done those things that u mentioned but I failed the text, it failed because my HC were to high and even though I put premium gas I still think that the HC has something to do with the gas but im not sure aboout it. Anything that u can tell me to help will be greatly appreciated, thanks.

In my experiance, changing the plugs and wires, will be enough to pass, if the o2 sensor isn't faulty there is no reason to replace it. While the testing equipment is plugged into the OBDII system (on 1996 and newer), The probe in the tail pipe is more important. And in some states if your "check engine" light is on the car fails automatically.

no..

your best bet to pass emission is to do these things before testing:

change oil
put premium gas in tank (fill up)
change spark plugs
change o2 sensor.

I gather you are refering to ethonall ,I don"t like and as you say it is dry.
