Check your yellow pages for a salvage yard. The taurus is common enough you should be able to find a nice one in your color, and it will be WAY cheaper than the dealer. Some salvages will even install it for you.

2 words, salvage lot. salvage means that they dont run anymore or are too damgaged to drive, it doens't mean that the whole car is trashed, i found a rear brake light fixture for my 93 chrystler minivan at a salvage, plus there you can get a way better deal than ordering from a auto parts store.

i own repair shop,and i always find a good one at a salvage yard,,they usually have a few of the Taurus,s around,,there a pretty common car to find parts for,,id say they,ll have one like you need for it,,good luck hope this help,s.
