only what the scrap iron yard or junk yard will pay you and that isn't much.

Yes scrap is worth cash these days, about £ 50 per car at the right place, the wrong place will charge you to leave the car there, ring around first.

Don't bother scrapping it!
register on ebay and sell it!

I had an Escort that had been in the garage for 12 years, rotten through and through.
Posted it on ebay as a piece of cr*p that was worth nothing with no tax or mot and that hadn't started since the engine blew.

7 days later someone trailered it away and handed over £62 for the privilege. Much better than paying a dealer £20 to come get it!

You could probably get more money by parting it out and then letting the junkyard come and get it. It depends on make and model, rice burners will part out nicely if there is no rust. Any American car that is 20 years old will be worth its weight in gold for parts.

It depends on the sape of the car yet some time you get more if you can drive it in or puhs or tow it to theree.and if it does run you may get a few dollars instead of having you pay them to come and get it.

if the car is running some junk yards will give you a small amount of money for the car if you bring it to them. if they have to pick the car up they will most likely not give you anything for it.
