Buy a truck and get the whole body frame turned into a CAR kit, and then lower the truck into a car level? In other words, buying a truck and putting on a car kit, and lowering the truck at car's eye level so that it looks like a car instead of a truck?

I have a 97 Eclipse. My car has been overheating. The other day, the temp gauge was buried past the H. But when it did that, I didn't smell antifreeze, like I normally do. Every now & then, smoke comes out of the tailpipe, but not all of the time. Sometimes it seems to pour water out of it & other times, it doesn't (sometimes there's a puddle where my car's been, but not always). The temp hand doesn't always goes up. It's strange. Sometimes I drive it & can tell something is wrong & others, it's like nothing is wrong (I dont drive far, though, just to work mainly). My boyfriend's brother said it's the head. That I need to replace it. I can't afford a mechanic. He said he'd give me a good price to fix it (labor wise). He's good @ working on cars, I just want to make sure he's not trying to lie to me about what it is, before I pay him to fix it. What are the usual signs of a blown head? What would it do if it were just the head gasket? Any other suggestions?

A couple of weeks ago my car was running hot, I brought my car to the shop they said it was the thermastat he took it off and said I didn't need it, but my heater wouldn't work so I said ok. 2 months later it started running on the hot side so Ibrought it to another mechanic and he said it was the thermastat again so he put one in, it started running on the hot side again I had it put on the computer and it showed the radiator I took it to the radiator shop and they said who ever put my thermostat in they didn't bleed it and when he put coolant in it was like it went to the bottom. Tonight it ran really hot and now it won't start, the oil light came on and this trac light came on. I don't know to either take it to the radiator shop or the other mechanic. What to do?

I have a maruti800 2005 model non ac. When i start my car in the morning it wobbles for about 5sec first and then it comes to normal . I bought it second hand in 'true value' a week back. It had run only 12,000 KMs and was maintained by a doc. As far as i know MPFI maruti800 cars doesn't do this when we start it......can anyone tell me why does this happen?

Its an '01 Toyota Sienna and it heats up even after short trips. Its around 50F degrees out side so I don't think its the weather. It starts to heat up on idle or in traffic and cools down when I rev up the engine. Any ideas on what it could be and how to fix it would be greatly appeciated.

My brother called me with some car issues on his 2002 Explorer. He was driving and suddenly the O/D and 4WD started flashing. It will do so every 10 minutes or so.

He notices no problems while driving until turning or cornering, he notices the shifting acts funny. It seems like it won't go into gear and thumps. He's going to take it to a mechanic, but if anyone could help me give him a heads up what it could be so he isn't going in blind, that would be great.

My 2005 Toyota Highlander has about 26k miles on it. Recently began stalling (today 4 times in two hours). Happens Mostly on start up or nearly after. Engine dies, battery stays on. You can turn the key off and right back on and it starts up. I'm afraid that we will get killed in it as it has stalled at several intersections. Sometimes cold start up is worse. Good on gas and battery power. , dealer says no codes showing so they won't touch it unless it happens to them while they are driving it. They've driven it twice and of course nothing has happend. They keep acting like I'm crazy and I've just got water in my gas or something, but this has been going on for a long time and we've added fuel cleaner twice, w/ no help. Out of options. I've seen a handful of posts about this problem on a few other sites but have never seen anyone get a solution. PLEASE HELP. 17 month old daughter rides in this car frequently, but i'm afraid for her to now.

Every couple of weeks I have to add antifreeze to my truck. It usually takes about 1/2 a gallon. I have a 2000 model silverado with a 4.8 engine. It has 113,000 miles on it. It is not leaking anywhere so I was afraid that it might be leaking through the head gasket. Is this possible with no other problems. It still runs alright. The only thing that I have noticed is that it is cold natured and will not idle when it is cold.

When it first started, the noise would stop if I hit the brakes even just lightly, but would start up as soon as I let off the brakes (I could be moving anywhere from 1-85mph). Now the squealing starts and doesn't stop unless I brake hard, and braking sometimes squeals like a bus or train would. I drive a manual 1993 saturn sl2. What is the reason for this problem?

PS: To my knowledge, there has been no recent work done on the brakes.

Every time I park my car, I notice there is steam comming from under the hood, at first I thought it was smoke, but it's not. And it smells sweet, like coolant. It's not terribly cold where I live. So is this normal?

Any ideas why it would be doing this?

I have a question i just got a new Mazda 6 s about 2 months ago and take it to the new car wash i mean its really good it cleans the car and covers it with that protective thing and all that. But i don't really want to spend every week 10$ just for one car wash. So i was at Wal*Mart the other day and I saw a car wash soap for 99 cents im usually the guy that is the more expensive it is the better it will work but i was wondering is their really a difference between car soaps , I always buy the turtle wax one for like 10$ claims to protect your paint and wax it while u wash it so i was just wondering if the cheap soap and expensive one work the same or do they just sell it for more because the company is well known ?

I am considering a 1990-1993 Lotus Esprit with about 50K miles
on it,
BUT I have no idea how realible they are.
My Questions are--

What gas quality?(Can it use regular and still run fine or does it NEED premium or Supreme)

Can it be driven as a daily driver at about 40miles a day from Mon-Fri?
How much are parts on a chart(EX. 1 is the least price-10 is the most priced)?

An Estimate on how much it cost to maintain a year?

How Realible(1 being worst-10being best like a Honda OR Toyota)

Finally can they start at 6:00 AM drive 20 miles park for 7 hours and start again and drive 20 mileswith no problems.(really the question is are these cars like Maserati which choose when they feel like starting or will they start anytime in any condition)

THANK YOU!
ANSWERS ARE VERY APPRECIATED !!!

I just bought a new 07 Nissan Sentra Saturday, and I already have minor scratches. I accidently ran the front of my car up a curb while parking. Heres pictures: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v621/Fadez2Black/IMG_5860.jpg & http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v621/Fadez2Black/IMG_5859.jpg

My question is, is there anything I can do to make the scatches less noticeable or virtually gone?

It's a really tiny hole but it's leaking all the air out of one of my tires about every two days. I don't think you can plug the sidewall can you? It's a brand new tire surley theres somthing that can be done to save it.
