A couple of weeks ago my car was running hot, I brought my car to the shop they said it was the thermastat he took it off and said I didn't need it, but my heater wouldn't work so I said ok. 2 months later it started running on the hot side so Ibrought it to another mechanic and he said it was the thermastat again so he put one in, it started running on the hot side again I had it put on the computer and it showed the radiator I took it to the radiator shop and they said who ever put my thermostat in they didn't bleed it and when he put coolant in it was like it went to the bottom. Tonight it ran really hot and now it won't start, the oil light came on and this trac light came on. I don't know to either take it to the radiator shop or the other mechanic. What to do?

here is what you can do. take it backto the shop that put in the thermostat, it is their fault, they should have bled it,and they didnt.. and even if you cant get it over there, call them and speak to them. I willassume that you have warranty on the repair so they should fixit... you know sometimes its the simple things that went wrong..
I have a 93 honda civic that ran hot all the time,no fuses were blown, the mechanics that I went to gave me differnt diagnosis(none of them right i later found out) it was the fuse RELAY that was bad, I found out by running a wire to a fuse that activates when my car powers on.. I changed the relay and now it runs great... hope this helps

I'm not a mechanic, but my son had similar problems with his car recently. It turned out to be a bad head gasket, which unfortunately is spendy to replace. Before your mechanic jumps to that conclusion, though, you can do a couple of things. First, is your radiator fluid dropping? If so, you've go a leak somewhere. If not, I don't know. When the car is running, look at your exhaust. Is it white? If so that indicates that you're leaking water into your oil, and hence you likely have a bad head gasket. I also believe that any reputable mechanic can pressure test your cooling system to detect leaks. You might ask.

Good luck!

Sounds like your engine has seized.. this is probably terminal. The original problem was probably a blown head gasket.
