If the steering wheel is shaking in your hands than the front end needs aligned. If your front seats are shaking its the rear end. Take it to an alignment shop.

How old is it? Less than five years old...probably just a wheel balance problem or loose lug nuts (changed a flat lately?). Have a friend follow you on the Interstate and look for a bouncing tire. If it's an older car, could be a worn steering part. Have a mechanic check it out. If it shakes when braking, the brake rotors are warped and need to be machined or replaced.

tires could be out of balance, alignment could be off, a worn suspension part causing the tires to wear badly (called cupping), broken belt inside the tire......there could be lots of possibilites. take it to a shop and have it inspected.
