Any magic idea for removing them. They are hard to get off. Also I do have a protective covering on the cars paint so I have to be careful what I use.

I have a mazda 6 04' that already has a stock alarm system. should i get an aftermarket one? Is there any more advantage to getting a better one than what i have already? The only thing i can see is that its harder to disable when set off and some have the digital keychain screen so i know that my car is already locked when i walk away.

I have a 2005 toyota rav 4. I never get a straight answer from the dealership. They also say it I don't have the oil change at their place or a toyota dealership then it also voids the warranty. Is this bull?

I recently replaced the motor in my 89 Mazda 626 with a motor from a 91. The car runs great but I get an idle surge when the car is cold. After the car warms up sometimes it idles fine and other times it idles real low and wants to stall? What could be causing the idle surge? I have a new radiator and have no overheating issues.

I also need to find out how to check the fluids in my 1995 Nissan Altima, the owners manual did not come with the car when I recently bought it from private owner.

The engine will turn over and fire for a few seconds. If I hit the gas it stops. If I just let it idle as soon as it gets to idle speed is stops. I have changed the fuel filter and the spark plugs. The fuel pump is working. The distributor is clean and turns like it should. The alternator is working. I don't know what else to try.

Vehicle cranks strong, fuel is coming out forward of fuel filter so pump is OK. If I put fuel in the throttle body the vehicle starts immediatly and runs til gas runs out (few seconds). Vehicle has occasionally been running rough, but usually settles down within a few minutes, mostly ran great. What is the next logical step.

1. Do I need to do wheel alignment everytime I do tire rotation?
2. I hear rumbling noise (when driving above 40mph) in my car after rotation. Does that sound likely come from the tire?

Got a slow puncture... can I just patch up the inner tube and be legal and safe, or do I need to buy a whole new tyre?

Recently I took my car to a mechanic because of a clinking noise coming from the front left tire. They said it was a rock stuck behind the heatshield, they removed it, the sound went away. Now the sound is back (I live on a gravel driveway, so this makes sense.) I'm wondering if I can remove the tire and get the rock out myself or it is more complicated than that.

When I push the brakes the parking lights and interior lights come on. Then when I turn on the lights at night the brake light in the rear window stays on. The lights still get bright to let people know I'm stopping but, they keep their distance like I'm stopping. I know its some sort of short but, how do I fix it?

Hey, i've been offered a 1990 Celica but they owner says it has a blown headgasket, and they wont actually take it to a mechanic and get a quote. And i haven't been able to see it yet, so i don't actually know if it's a blown headgasket. But i asked him how it happened and he said that he had slit the top tank of the radiator (yes, he is stupid) and said that caused it to blow, now he can start it up and it idles fine, but as soon as you drive ti 100 metres it overheats.

So is this a headgasket? I've asked him to do a few checks before i go around for a look, or could it be something else? Any advice on what it could be? And whats the average price it would be to repair. Thanks
