Oil, a wrench, and an empty bucket large enough to safely contain a gallon or so of liquid.. But typically you want to change the oil filter too so I recommend you have one of those available, along with an oil filter wrench. Also, now is a good time to change the air filter.

the right oil and amount
most cars hold between 4 to 5 1/2 quarts of oil
the thickness of oil used is usually on the oil fill cap
like 10/30 or 5/30
and an oil filter napa makes a good oil filter
and a drain pan to catch the old oil
tools to remove and reinstall the oil drain plug and maybe an oil filter wrench. then you have to get rid of the old oil in an enviormentally friendly way
It might be cheaper in the long run to get it done at a oil reliable oil change shop or general repair shop

1. a wrench that fits your oil plug. 2. an oil filter that fits your motor. 3. a pan that holds 4-5 quarts of oil that's in your motor. 4. you might need a wrench that's made to unscrew oil filters, However failing that punching a screwdriver thru the side of the OLD oil filter will give you the leverage you need to unscrew it. 4-5 quarts of new oil . Once the oil is drained put your oil plug back in make sure it's tight not wrenched on just tight. 5. make sure your oil filter is tight. 6. put new oil in voila your a mechanic!!!!

if you want to drain your oil, you have to unbolt the oil pan on the bottom of your car or you can take it to a lesswab or a car place and pay them to change your oil or have someone you know thats good with cars do it for you
