Any magic idea for removing them. They are hard to get off. Also I do have a protective covering on the cars paint so I have to be careful what I use.

I go to the local coin operated car wash and use their high pressure washer. It seems to do the job, I use the bug remover setting first, then switch to the power soap wash.
Rain-x has a spray on product that forms a barrier on your car from the bugs and is supposed to help make washing the bugs off easier. You will have to apply the product after every wash.

They make a product called bug & tar remover that is available in most auto parts stores that does an awesome job. Just follow the directions on the can when using it.

Have you tried a power sprayer? SInce you only use water, there's no way to scratch the paint. You can adjust the jet so you can start out gently and work your way up to a harder blast. Careful though, if you spray too hard it might damage the surface.
