When I push the brakes the parking lights and interior lights come on. Then when I turn on the lights at night the brake light in the rear window stays on. The lights still get bright to let people know I'm stopping but, they keep their distance like I'm stopping. I know its some sort of short but, how do I fix it?

The correct method is to get out an electrical tester and the wiring diagram from your cars repair manual. Go over each wire. You will probably find bare spots somewhere it was rubbing or the wires have been pinched somewhere. The quick fix is to replace the wiring harness from the fusebox back with a new or used one for your car. A good mechanic can do this in a few hours.

sonds like the wire from the motor block to the chasis is bad just hook up a wire to a bolt on the motor and connect it to a bolt on the chasis that wire will cause thies and sometimes other problems

You can't fix it. Take it to the shop.
