I have a mazda 6 04' that already has a stock alarm system. should i get an aftermarket one? Is there any more advantage to getting a better one than what i have already? The only thing i can see is that its harder to disable when set off and some have the digital keychain screen so i know that my car is already locked when i walk away.

if your car is unluck with a copy of the key the alarm is not going to work
if they brake a window the alarm is not going to make a noise
maybe they can not steal the car but they will take your stereo or anything inside the vehicle

look in to automate they make one alarm system that works with the original remotes that you have you will get hood sensor window sensor and kill ignition

also they can take your rims with your alarm and nothing will happend
when you get back to your car today try it hit it hard on one of the windows

Insurance companies normally prefer alarms that are Thatcham approved, so if your stock alarm isn't Thatcham approved, installing one could cut the cost of your insurance (as well as increasing the protection of your car)

Only if you want to annoy people when your alarm goes off continuously for no reason.
