i own 99 mitsubishi eclipse with manual transmission.
until 12 hours ago my car seemed to run pretty smooth.
but today morning when i start it, it wouldn't get into the gear.
i had to force the gear stick into the gears. Also i noticed that when i was in reverse gear, releasing the clutch very slightly got the car moving more than usual.
1. Does it look like something with the clutch ?
2. How much money i might be looking at to get it repaired depending on what it is?
3. I go to greg's japanese auto, in chandler, arizona. They're quite expensive though. if it's a clutch thing should i go to someone who specializes in those. do you know anyone in arizona who work's with clutches, gearboxes e.t.c ?

Two weeks ago my Renault Scenic (2002) decided to die. When you turned the ignition, the warning lights came on as normal but the engine would not turn over. Compeltely dead. I tried the usual jump start etc, but nothing, so got it towed to the garage. They subsequerntly told me it was starting in neutral (yes, it's automatic), and they'd check to see if it was the inhibitor or central electrics unit. A week later they sent it back, having found nothing wrong but with a bill for £150.

This week it did the same again, only this time it won't even start in neutral. I've tried to locate the starter motor, just to check it's not a problem with that, and it is well hidden. My manual has a really tricky procedure for removing it, so I'd rather not if I can help it. At the moment though I want to test the circuit, to check if it is a dodgy connection, but unless I can get to the solenoid I don't think I can. Perhaps that isn't it either.

Anyone experienced the same problem?

I have basic tools, common sense, and less money than I'd like. If it's easy and worth my time, I'd love to do it myself rather than bring it in to a shop, but how is it done? Is it simple? Thanks!

Hi!

I'm looking for a really good source for OEM and other replacement parts for my 1967 Chevy Fleetside Pickup. Wheels, Glass, Sheetmetal, etc. Been searching the web and found a 'few' but no one has the OEM 6-lug wheels for example. Any/all reliable information, links, etc.

Thank you in advance for your time and consideration.

:D

I have a small 4 door sedan. I was wondering how much it would cost to have a wheel alignment done on it. I want to do that first and then get some tires next payday. So for the alignment alone..how much can I expect to pay?

I am in the market to buy a minivan because of family size, and I found one that is a good price but it says it needs a short block. What kind of pricing and labor would this entail if I were to get something like that fixed?

I ask because there seemed to be something suspicious about my last visit. I won't go into details because I genuinely don't know if what I was thinking is true or not.

I have a 1989 Cadillac DeVille. The emergency brake light on the dash comes on when I start the car even though the emergency brake is not engaged. The emergency brake "on" light will illuminate intermittantly while driving. Any thoughts on what is causing the "idiot light" problem and what needs to be done to correct the problem?

I have a 1996 Saturn SL1 and a man told me I have to change the relay for the cooling fan. I went to Advanced and got the relay. Got under the hood, pulled the old relay out and plugged the new relay in (while the car was running), but it hasnt made any difference. He said the reason he knew the relay needs to be switched is because it was extremely hot to the touch. I was wondering if there is some special step to the replacement of the relay that I failed to perform?
Perhaps, The relay plug needs to plug in a certain way? (positive and negative) Thecar need to be off? the battery unplugged?
Help!!!
When I'm in stop and go traffic the car starts to overheat badly because the cooling fan isnt working. Could it be the big green fuse for the cooling fan?

My company is looking into switching our company trucks because the Powerstrokes are letting us down lately. We need something for towing that has good power and won't leave us on the side of the road.
