really easy, take your time and put some copper grease around the threads of the new plugs prior to installation.
you will need 7 or 8mm spanner for the nuts holding the bus bar to the glow plugs and 12mm for the plugs themselves.
best trying to undo when the engine has been run but careful not to burn hands

It is easy if the glow plug tips are not swollen. You just take the wire off the end via a clip or nut then take a deep well socket and remove. If the tip is swollen and the plug won't just pull out take it to a shop. If you have to get the swollen plug out it's gonna be hard to explain but I'll do my best. Once the plug is loose and can be almost pulled out take a pair on vice grips and clamp it straight up and down on the nut( not the spade terminal or the wire stud). Down on the actual nut. Then clamp a second pair of vise grips on the vice grips themselves so now you have one pair straight up and down attached to the glow plug like you were gonna use it like a screw driver and the other pair clamped to the vise grips forming a letter L. Hit up on the sideways vice grips with a hammer. It should force the glow plug to pull up through the hole. This is the only way I know of to get a swollen glow plug out without breaking it off and removing the head. It has worked for me 9 times out of 10 this way and I replaced tons of glow plugs on Military HUM Vees. If they are not swollen then its as easy or easier than changing spark plug. Do it when the engine is cold.

The same thing happened to my mondeo 51 plate, unfortunatly the threads had stripped on the glow plug, did eventually get it out but wot a b***h that was. Luckily i'm in the trade so I have the tools to clean the threads in the head.
