I have a 95 mustang with a 3.8 v-6 engine in it. I need to replace it. I found a 95 crown victoria with a 4.6 v-8 engine. Can I swap these out? I know about needing another tranny for the v-8. But would there be alot of extra work involved? Help out please. I need some answers quick. Thanks.

don't forget about the computer and the wire harness and good luck doing it. the better chose is to dump the car and get one with a 4.6 or a 5.0

With enough time and cash, you can do anything. You'd need, as you know, a different transmission and drive shaft, perhaps the motor mounts would need to be redone, would you have room for the radiator, and would the suspension take care of the extra weight? Why not find a rebuilt 95 3.8 V-6 and exchange?
