im shaping my trunk and i was wondering if i can fiberglass over duct tape ? or use the duct tape for shaping and fiber glass it in there

I have experimented with this in the past: Fibreglass over duct tape is wrong, because duct tape is not as sticky as polyester or epoxy resins. Fibreglassing in the hole from the back behind the duct tape is a good quick fix, though. However, if you want the fix to last, use aluminium mesh to span the hole, and smooth filler over the fibreglass; more work put in for better results got out.
