well if your low on coolant you will only get cold air. Or maybe your heater control is broken and is stuck on cold.

Sounds to me like you have a "control" problem! First suspect would be vacuum leak someshere. If your coar isn't too noisy,- and you can hear good, -you should be able to hear the leak (especially inside the car.) It will make a sucking, or possibly low pitch whistle. The a/c is set up to run in either the heat or cool setting, - to dehumidify the air (helps keep car from steaming up the windshield in defrost). This moves all the moisture inside car to outside (hopefully). The change from cold to heat is simply to close a "door" covering the cooling evaporator, - and opening the area where air flows through the heater "radiator".
The second possibility is that you car has a "shutoff valve" inside the engine compartment (most don't have them nowdays, because it costs more money). This valve would be vacuum operated also, and turns off the water flow into the heater.
Also the heater control switching system could be bad, - if this is the case, you are going to need help of somebody that knows what they are doing! ---- Unless you are a pretty well versed & mechanically minded person!!
And last thing is that the heater core is plugged up with "junk", - however on this new a car I wouldn't think this is the problem!

Your thermostat could be stuck,Or the heater core is clogged. The only other thing is the vent that allows heat in is not opening when you select heat. Could be caused by a vacuum leak

Check fluid first. Does fan work? Could b thermostat. I changed mine and the heat worked....
