I have a 1998 Nissan Sentra GXE. I would like to know when you are supposed to get a transmission flush? Also if I go to a mechanic and ask for a Tune-Up what should I be expecting so that I don't get ripped off? I am trying to keep my car in good running condition and want to make sure it lasts through the winter. Any of you "car" people out there have suggestions that I should do to help my car last are greatly appreciated!!!!

The guy at the Nissan dealership stated that after the diagnostic tesing, that if the problem is something that is not covered under the warranty I have to pay $85 for the diagnostic testing plus the repairs if I get them. That is crazy. I thought a warranty was a warranty.

Help!!!! Am I being scammed???

I drive a 1994 Plymouth Acclaim (est. 150,000miles) 3.0l V6...it has been frequently dying on me with my RPMs drop or I come to fast stops (which could also be the RPMs). It starts back up right away but if I don't put it in drive and hit the gas fast enough it will cut out again. The lights and stereo stay on, but the power steering is gone as well.

Can anyone hint as to what the problem may be? I checked my oil, it may need to be changed but it's probably not urgent because I changed it a few months ago and haven't driven it much over the summer. Any help is appreciated!!!

I want a new car anyway so if you have bad news, tell me now so I don't get stranded :P

i took it to mechanic he sais everything is fine with it, but he does not know the code to reset the engine light.

I was going down this windy road last night and the road was wet. The speed limit was 25 and I was going 28. All the sudden I lose control and hit a dirt hill on the side of road on my passenger side. My hop cap fell off, and now my car shakes when I go over 40 miles an hour. I am taking it to my mechanic in two days, but I want to make sure it is saf e to drive til then.

This may sound ridiculous however this is true! We have a 2006 silverado pick-up. The color is grey (gray) and the only thing that has been done to it is it's been waxed four or five times. Since then, the common housefly's seem to love the truck. Is it the color? Totally wierd,,,no doubt.
