Only the right filter will fit on your vehicle. Most places who sell filters will also supply a book to the public listing all vehicle years, makes, and models to help you. If in doubt, ask someone.

Also ensure you are using the type of oil that is recommended for your engine, the weather, and any other factors.

the threads may not match up and you'll lose some or even all the oil. loss of oil may result in burned up engine. make sure you know the engine size when you go buy a filter, or take the vehicle to a lube place to change it for you. then if the filter is wrong they have to provide the new engine.

If the filter is the right diameter around, it probobly won't leak. But if the filter is too long your engine will be low on oil due to too much in the filter and not enough in the engine. if its too short your gonna have a problem

Good Luck

those engineers have a boatload of e book gaining expertise of and no useful adventure. The oil itself does no longer damage down besides the undeniable fact that the aspects do and between the jobs of oil is to collect the contaminants from combustion and condensation and shop it in suspension so it would not abrade or corrode the metals that would want to in the different case be rubbing hostile to at least one yet another. It replaced into that we replaced oil each 2000 miles yet oil is getting more desirable proper continually. ok, it truly is not the oil it is getting more desirable proper besides the undeniable fact that the aspects. we are utilising an analogous oil now as then, yet with more desirable proper aspects. That mixed with more desirable proper metallurgy signifies that we may be able to bypass further between oil alterations now. 3000 to 5000 miles counting on the type of service you're filing your motorcar to. and modify the clear out. don't be cheep in this one. replacing your oil is cheep compared to replacing your engine, or procuring a sparkling vehicle.

Dont dont dont dont. There is a very good posibility it will leak. Running low or out of oil is like draining the blood from your body. IT AND YOU WILL DIE. As cheap as filters have become, please, please get one that is manufactured for that application. You will still like yourself in the morning. I promise!

Most likely result is leakage. The threads, capacity and seal are made for a specific engine. If you can match up the threads and the seal then it would not make that much difference as long as it does not leak and can be fitted tightly.

It could leak, but you would know that immediately upon starting the engine. It may not be able to handle the filtration requirments of your engine.
