If you're trying to program a new spare key then this can be done without removing anything from the car and involves inserting the original and new key for a few seconds at a time. The owner's handbook will have details of how to do this or try asking your question on the forums at www.fordmondeo.org

Probably be cheaper in long run to have a Ford agent solve your problem.

You can try other small auto-electricians but I suspect the costs would not vary that much, and the Ford agent would guarantee the repair, plus you would have the assurance that the repair was carried out by a Ford trained mechanic.

the dealer already has the code for your car all they need is the chassis number ( on the windscreen) reg number and proof that your the owner of the car . but it is expensive to have a key re coded anyway about £100 plus vat .
