first check and see if you can hear the fuel pump running on it,,when you turn the key on,,if you can,,check to see if its getting fire to the spark plugs,,i own a repair shop,,and this is always the first things that you check,,if you cant hear the fuel pump running check the fuse for it,,it might have blown it,,they do this sometimes,,if there is one blown,,replace it,,ther also is a fuel pump relay,,located in under the hood,,its in a row of relay,s and is marked on the plastic cover that is over the relay,,it will say pump relay,,if all the fuses are good,,then check the relay,,on gm cars they have a fuel pump test wire that is located ,,under the good,,usually on the driver s side,,you can hook a wire to it,,and see it it kicks in,,if it does ,,it has a bad relay on it,,the wire is usually located on the side where the battery is,,and will have a tag on it,,if it hasn't fell off from it,,when you apply 12 volts to it you,ll hear the pump run,,if all this fails it may have a bad coil pack on it,,they will be good one minute,,and the next minute there dead,,good luck with it,,i hope this help,s.

your optical distributor must have failed. Alternatively, is your engine immobiliser completely disarmed? this can happen if the keys left in the ignition or/and car left unlocked overnight.. Just close the doors again, reset the alarm system with the remote button and try starting the car. another problem could lie with the throttle body not injecting enough fuel to your system. One way to check is by pressing the accelerator pedal hard while starting, if it starts and you let go of the accelerator and it dies, then it is the throttle body. Hope it helps.
