If there is actually nothing wrong or if it is just an intermittant problem, disconnect the battery and reconnect after a few seconds. If the light persists, then go spend money. You will have to reprogram the radio. Long time Jag owner.

Go to a dealership or repair place that has a computer that they can hook it up to, and find out what the problem is. There are alot of things that could be wrong, and it cannot be re-set, the vehicle needs to be fixed. It may be an emissions problem.

Try disconnecting the battery for a half hour, and see what you get.
