This is for the paper covering surrounding the gauges in a 1966 model Mercury. I think the original may have been a peel and stick type of paper (like contact paper), but I need either paint or manufactured paper to replace the original with. Anyone know how?

This only happens occasionally and it is just a burst of blue smoke on starting the engine. The car does not burn oil, just this occasional puff of blue smoke.

on a trip. car broke down took engine apart found camshaft broke in half.replace shaft car run for 3 weeks. shaft broke again replace 2nd time car run for 2 weeks broke 3rd time change 3rd time afraid to drive car please help thanks.

when i drove my car, the oil pressure sometime dropped to level 2 or sometime to level 1, normal oil pressure is at level 3. what is the cause and how to rectifiy it.

I took my car in to be checked for a knock, one mechanic said the cam belt was about to snap which was causing it, and another said the cambelt was fine and it was just wear and tear on the engine. Who do I believe and is it time to get a new car as my cars only worth £500 anyway!!!

I have a 2002 Nissan Sentra and I've had this problem since I got it. It dies when I come to a stop sign and hit the brake and clutch. It was under warranty when I bought it and had it in to the dealer about 10 times and they weren't able to find or correct the problem. It happens at random, sometimes It will go days or weeks without it happening and other times it happens 5 or 6 times in a day. My questions are a) has anyone ever heard or dealt with a problem like this b) what was the solution and c) Even though my warranty has expired is the dealership still responsible to fix it because it was a preexisting condition. Any help would be appreciated.

I have a 99 Camaro V-6 3.8L. Several seconds after ignition, the gauges totally peg out and then fall completely below zero (as if the car is off again) and a second later, they slowly return to normal. It's like an electrical surge. It used to only happen once in a while, now it's every time I start it up. Today, the starter didn't fire at all. After a re-ignition, the guages did the whole thing where they peg and then drop and return to normal. Can you tell me what's causing this?

friends 2002 neon had it's rear window shot out... he paid more than it is currently blue booked for... he owes 11k, and it's worth 8500. If the apolstry needs replacing and the floor board is damaged could this a)totaled, and b)who pays for any difference between the blue book and what is owed? Are we looking at a court battle here? We live in Maryland, and the damage was inflicted by the recent rains from T.S. Ernesto.

I want to apply a PRESTONE RADIATOR FLUSH in the cooling system of my cavalier, I´ve done the procedure in my moms tercel 91 and everthing went nice, but in the GM CAVALIER cooling system I think is a diferent procedure or do you recomend me to do it ? do you think I should use another brand? can I do it simply with water? where is the drain of the radiator in the GM CARS,?

I have a 1986 Buick sedan. My alternator was hammered so the mechanic put in a new one. When I am driving 60-70 on the freeway, the needle hovers above the + plus side on the right. When I'm driving in stop and go traffic, the voltage meter goes toward the - minus side on the left. The needle always perks up at faster speeds. Is this normal? Hopefully my new alternator is ok, I hope anyway. Thanks for your help.

I have a Saturn SL2 (2000) with 115K miles. I recently had the oil changed (not sure if this matters). When I went to start my car this morning it was very slow to start. The "change oil" light comes on and goes off quickly once the car is running. After starting it ran fine. When I got to my destination I started it up a few times, and it started normally. No electrical problems apparent. I went to work, then when I left it was really slow to start up again. Took about 8 seconds of cranking. It has never done this before and I have no idea what the problem could be. If anyone could help me troubleshoot, that would be great. I'd rather not have to take it to the shop if its something simple, but I don't want to damage my car or drain my battery since it seems to have starting issues.

I just bought a 1997 Acura Cl. Its a beautiful car. I had a stereo system installed (at the price of 1200$). It runs great with absolutely no problems. Until about three days ago, when i noticed it started over heating when I pull up to a red light, or have to idle for a short period of time. I put water in the radiator yesterday. It was low on water, but nothing severe. If someone could give me their insight, I would truly appriciate it! 3.0 Liter engine...

The fuel pump will not come on when started and Jeep will start but die if you try to put it in drive and will sputter out even after a few seconds in park. Hopefully it is the fuel pump. Does anyone know if somewhere like Tuffy or MOnroe can take care of this or do I have to go to the dreaded Jeep dealership? Any advice on the cars problem is welcome, too. Thanks
