It's your own stupid fault for buying a VAUXHALL . Check your fuses, the one that corresponds to the cooling fan may need replacing.A diagram of what fuse does what should be on the inside cover of the fuse box. Failing that, sell it and buy anything but a vauxhall, they have notorious problems with the electrics, as you're finding out.

If It is the electric fan is the problem then fix it before serious damage done. When the heat in the engine get too high the pistons expand to a point that they seize in the cylinders. If it's not the fuse remove the fan and test the motor with a battery and some cable. If it works the fan is fine. There is a temp sensor on the block acts as a switch to turn the fan on it's a sealed unit so just replace it and see if that works.

The electric fan should come on as soon as the temperature is near or above overheating levels.
There is a way of making it come on, place a short wire/paperclip between two particular pins in the electric fan switch at the thermostat, but it varies from model to model.
Considering the environment is a bit hotter, I would guess check your coolant on a cold start and level road, if its a bit low that could be your answer!
Never fill the coolant with normal water, leads to rust and corrosion use distilled or deionised water!

i do no longer think of the undertaking is the thermostat! while the engine is warm, are the followers on? Is it merely getting warmer then you definitely might prefer to ascertain, or is it overheating? there are various stuff that administration engine working temperature and except they are fastened you're scuffling with a loosing conflict. If the engine is lean, that's going to run heat. If the laptop does no longer comprehend, or is getting the incorrect advice, appropriate to the contemporary engine temperature and inlet air temperature, that's going to run lean. So the engine will proceed to run warm. while changing the thermostat does no longer paintings look at those on your undertaking.

If it maintains this temp, not to worry. 5 degrees isn't that much. It could be the gauge or the sensor has changed value a bit.
If it has A/C, the fan should come on when it is operated.
