This is for the paper covering surrounding the gauges in a 1966 model Mercury. I think the original may have been a peel and stick type of paper (like contact paper), but I need either paint or manufactured paper to replace the original with. Anyone know how?

check with your local auto paint store, there is available a crinkle finish paint that comes in an aerosol can. avoid runs put spay on thick. It may be wise to cut a piece of stiff cardboard or maybe even formica to fit the area to be painted, paint it then attach with contact cement. Also, there are several aftermarket parts supply companys that carry dash parts, most are not terribly expensive
