There is no sweet smell. It is just water. But the front and rear driver's side carpet is soaked. And it's starting to smell. Any ideas?

It is only wet on the driver's side. Passenger side is dry as a bone.

And apparently I need to add the fact that I do not leave my windows down. ONLY the floor is wet. The seat is not wet. The dash is not wet. Nothing but the floor is wet. The windshield is fine. The seals are fine. Rain is not leaking in. The windows are up.

Have some one clean the drain tube from your a/c unit. It's probably the culprit.Or do it your self.Get a long pipe cleaner, look low on the firewall on the pass. side(under the hood). It's a small clear plastic tube.Push the pipe cleaner into the tube and expect to get wet.Vacuum the carpet and spray it with Fabreeze.Good luck.

it sounds like it has a real bad leak,,is it possible you left a window down on it,,or one of the vents may have stuck open,,because i own a stratus,,and it has never leaked at all,, i own a repair ,, shop,,and we had a dodge neon in here once that leaked like that,,and it turned out that there was debris caught in the door rubber causing it not to seal up,,take a water hose,,and wet it,,see if you can find out where its coming from,,its easier to fix if you know where its coming from,,good luck with it,,i hope this help,s.

A/C evaporator case is plugged. There is a drain that usually runs out to the ground. They sometimes become plugged and the water flows into the passenger compartment under the carpet and you do not see it.

"In my opinion, the argument you give is nothing more than a mask for your own prejudice and racism. Presenting this "idea" as you did was an obvious attempt to sound intelligent and rational. I am sorry to tell you, but you failed at both. You merely sound ignorant and I feel sorry for you."
Quite a bold statement from somebody whose too ignorant to keep water out of the inside her own car. Self-righteousness will get you nowhere.

Take a shop vac and suck out all the water. Til its almost dry. Then put some diluted fabric softener in a bottle and spray it often. most importantly keep your windows up when it rains, and until it drys open as long as you can.
