I was in a car accident a few days ago, in which the accident was not my fault, ( the roads that we were driving on were wet and the other driver's car some what lost control and skidded into mine coming around a curve). I called my insurance after the accident, but I only had liability coverage...(my insurance company will only pay for property damage resulting from the accident and for damage done to the other party's car, but not mine. The other driver apparently has the same type of insurance as me. Anyway am I supposed to call the other persons insurance company and see if they will pay to have my car fixed (since it was kind of the other drivers fault), or is calling mine enough?

I hit an SUV last year. I was coming off a small street into a larger one. I couldn't see and waited until I thought nothing was coming and I struck the SUV. the damage was not that bad. No one could tell I was in an accident because there was no damage to the car I was driving. I had no insurance because I did not own a vehicle at the time. the owner of the car had no insurance. Now the driver of the other vehicle and the 2 passengers are trying to sue me. Is there any way possible out of this?

I had been involved in a car accident today, while i was driving with the speed limit, wearing my seatbelt with my kid in her car seat, this lady did not stop at the red light and hit me.It was pretty bad and we survived only because the car I had was a good one, all the airbags popped, front and side curtains.I had a Hyundai Sonata 2007, the car was 1 month and a half old, only 3000miles on it.The lady that hit me has car insurance, i have it to, we are waiting some answers now, but i was wondering if someone knows if i can get my new car back?So far it seems yes but you never know, the good thing for me is that there were witnesses that signed a report saying she did not stopped at the red light.

The insurance told me I have a $500 deductible, plus I have a citation for $117. I am a broke college student and this is my first accident. The damage was minimal to my car, the airbags came off but the body looks fine. Could it still have something wrong in the interior? I have class early tomorrow morning and I need to drive my car. They are charging me 500 dollars, howeer if the airbags is the only problem, is a ripoff for all that insurance I'd paid. I am very upset.

Around October of last year I got rear ended by a car that tried to cut off another driver. I was at a stop light and the car came from behind so I didn't see anything. My car is under my mom's name and I was just getting insurance. Unfortunately both driver's didn't want to take the blame for it and the case went into arbitration. I haven't been able to file a claim because I live in a city far away from where I'm suppose to file and it's actually my mother who doesn't have the time to go.
All I have is the complete information of both drivers and my passenger's whom didn't see anything either oh yeah and my 5000.00 estimate of the damage.
I've finally managed to convince her to miss a day of work for me but is it too late to file a small claim on an almost year old accident with NO police report?

my b/f was in a wreck driving his car, but the insurance is in my name. he was getting off an exit ramp, and he noticed that the car in front of him was driving kinda crazy, and he couldnt get into the other lane because cars were coming. the car in front of him slammed into a truck, then his car drove into rear end of the other car. the police wasnt called to the scene. he and the other 2 ppl talked about what happened, and they guy who was driving the truck, didnt have any damage, but the car in front of my b/f had the rear end messed up, and her front. the hood of our car and the bumper needs to be repaired. we have our car in the body shop and should be out next week. he told the woman, that he would pay for her back end damage, so it seemed like everything was fine. until today, i get a call from my insurance company talking bout a claim. i called back, but the office was closed. what's going to happen? my b/f offered to pay for rear end, but the ppl wont answer the phone anymore.

ANY way to get the word out how bad this company is? After 10wks they are still trying to pay me less than the stated value on the policy. They are not even returning calls to the gent that hit me. They are basically incouraging me to sue their client. These two planes were on the ground at the time of the accident. Mine was actually tied up and no one was in it. AIG SUCKS

I just want to know if vehicle registration in anyway is related to driver's license. I have a car registered in IL but my driving license is from Iowa. I live in the IL/IA border. But Illinois state requirement is to change the license if I reside over 90 days (it has far exceeded). I am going to sell my car and live back in Iowa. Since I didn't convert my license to IL license, will I have a problem while selling my car?

office to another so not too many of my questions can be answered which leaves me in a state of panic I am hoping someone could help alleviate the stress. I have GAP insurance on top of my car insurance. My question is what does the GAP cover. My insurance has already stated that they will be getting the value of my car and paying my loan off. Only thing is they didt state whether they pay the loan off only ro the amount that my car is worth or if they pay the whole things off. The value of my car is more than the pay-off on my insurance that I know for sure. So my question is wut happens now as far as getting another car....do I just start fresh as far getting a new car...go to dealership....get new loan....blah blah blah....or does my insurance or GAP cover any of this?? Im stressing bc I recently started at a new job and only have 3 months in here so if I have to get a whole new loan I dont know who will approve me, my credit is far from great besides the employment history....HELP!

I was recently in an accident in New Jersey and I have Pedestrian Personal Injury Protection that states its coverage as $250,000 with a $250 deductible and 20% copay. My insurance claim representative told me that I have no coverage for my injuries and that I should use my outside health care provider. The problem is that I do not have an outside health care provider and after little searching I feel as though Pedestrian Personal Injury Protection should cover my injury (ambulance ride, X-rays, broken foot, loss of wages) but is it the "Pedestrian" in the coverage that means that I dont have a foot to stand on (ha ha ha get it)? Either way through searching I have found that it is mandatory for insurance companies in New Jersey to include PIP in their coverages. So should I start to put pressure on my claims representative or wait until after she has determined who is at fault? Thanks

I was a passenger in an accident that involved my driver who ran into a guard rail. No other cars were involved, but I'm hurt real bad. My driver has full coverage but she didnt't buy the medical coverage. Does this mean that I'm not medically covered? (it just doesn't make sense to me that her insurance would not cover any passengers).

Say you live in Hawaii, and you get your drivers license there, and then you visit California, can you still drive in Cali? Or do you have to get someone who has a cali License to drive you around?

Now, Say you move to Cali. Do you have to retake the driving test to get a cali driver's license? Or can you exchange your original one?

If you don't read the rest of it, the QUICK VERSION is there are two differing stories in an accident & I don't know if I should place a claim with my insurance or not. Would that hurt my side of the claim in anyway.

Someone from oncoming traffic hit my vehicle when she was trying to take a left turn (across my traffic that was moving forward.

I do not know if a police report was filed, I was not cited & at the scene of the accident the police stated that they believed that she would likely have the claim against her, not me.

Now she's lying to her insurance co. stating she had a green arrow & I had a red light (as opposed to me having a green light, her traffic having a green light & her left turn lane having no green light -meaning yield to oncoming traffic).

I have liability only & I get the feeling that writing a claim on the accident is only me crying to them. If my insurance thought I did it, they would have contacted me by now.

I trust no one in insurance business
